HARRY Redknapp’s oldest son was supported during his cocaine driving court case last week by a former big-money drug baron.

Mark Redknapp, 49, was seen at court with pal Gareth Davies, who was jailed for 12 years in 2010 over a £125million cocaine conspiracy.

Mr Davies, 45, also has a close interest in Pierfront Developments, a property firm owned by Redknapp’s parents Harry and Sandra.

Mark Redknapp was found guilty on Wednesday of driving under the influence of cocaine. Wife Lucy had told Poole magistrates he “does not associate with people who do drugs”.

Redknapp, who was done for drink-driving in 2010, was fined £5,000 with a three-year drive ban.

He and Mr Davies, who live in Sandbanks, Dorset, are both involved with Pierfront, Mr Davies having acted as spokesman.

His showbiz agent wife, Scarlett Shortt, helped ex-football boss Harry get a role in last year’s I’m A Celebrity. Harry went on to win the jungle show.

Mr Davies was freed from jail in 2015 after half his cocaine smuggling sentence.

Pals say the Redknapps have “100 per cent trust” in him.

A source said: “Gareth has paid his due to society for silly past mistakes and is now an honest businessman and family man. He’s been a tower of strength and support for Mark during his court case.”
