CRISTIANO Ronaldo's rape accuser's legal team have demanded to grill the footballer this month over claims she was "mentally incapacitated" when she accepted £290,000 in hush money.

Former model Kathryn Mayorga’s attorneys have repeatedly requested to depose the Juventus ace and his "super agent" Jorge Mendes via Zoom, according to new legal documents.

Football legend Ronaldo strongly denies all allegations against him overallegations he attacked Mayorga in a Las Vegas hotel room.

Her lawyer Ross Moynihan produced a list of ten people he wanted to question in March and April, according to the docs.

But Ronaldo’s attorney Kendelee Works denied the request to quiz her client, saying it would be "entirely irrelevant to this stage of proceedings".

The rival lawyers even had a telephone conference on March 30, where they discussed Ronaldo being questioned, which was, again, denied.

Sources close to Ronaldo's team said no "formal request" for deposition has been made.

The athlete's lawyers have now filed a motion for a protective order on confidential documents embroiled in the case – including the non-disclosure agreement Mayorga signed in 2010 after claiming to have been raped by Ronaldo at Palms Casino the previous year.

Mayorga signed the NDA as part of an out-of-court financial settlement with the star, but her lawyers later claimed a psychiatrist deemed her "incompetent" when she legally agreed to the arrangement.

They also claimed Mayorga was manipulated and pressured by Ronaldo's team into signing – yet they have now changed tack and are withholding permission for vital docs to be kept secret.

Ronaldo's attorneys claim this maneuver has forced them to file the motion.

They state this "is curious given that Defendant specifically offered to agree that Plaintiff’s medical records, including mental health history, would be deemed confidential.

"Plaintiff’s counseling records contain multiple references to her concerns about confidentiality and the sense her counsel was promoting his own career ahead of her interests."

One of the keys to Mayorga’s case is to prove that she was mentally unfit when taking hundreds of thousands from the Portuguese star, to be successful in pursuing a new civil claim for at least a further £153,00 ($210,000) in damages.

In the new motion, Ronaldo’s team have produced two exhibits, which show that Mayorga had previously been prescribed Xanax for anxiety and panic attacks.

They also released a redacted handwritten letter by Mayorga on 16 January 2019 saying that she was hated by "millions of people" and wanted to remain anonymous but her old attorney spoke to the press.

She writes: "I’m upset that my attys (attorneys) talked in the media… I was upset when I learned from the media, not him… I think he’s promoting his career, not my case – victim’s names are protected for a reason – she’s getting: 'You slut, whore, etc' – millions of people hate me."

To prove her claims of being "mental incapacitated", Mayorga’s team have produced a list of 16 medical providers, psychiatric experts and psychological counsellors to validate them.

Ronaldo has always fiercely denied Mayorga's claims, branding them "fake news".

The model was working in the resort's nightclub and met the star in the venue's VIP area.

After going back to his penthouse suite, Mayorga claims Ronaldo invited her into a hot tub on his balcony in the early hours.

She alleges Ronaldo walked in on her changing and exposed himself – before asking her to perform a sex act.

Civil Court papers say Mayorga kissed him but refused to engage in a sex act on the condition he would let her go.

They add: "Cristiano Ronaldo pulled the plaintiff into a bedroom and on to a bed and attempted to engage in sexual intercourse.

Mayorga says she refused, tried to cover herself and then screamed: "No."
The papers add: "When Cristiano Ronaldo completed the sexual assault, he allowed her to leave the bedroom stating he was sorry, he was usually a gentleman."

Mayorga reported the alleged crime to Las Vegas cops the next day but refused to name Ronaldo.

She later decided not to prosecute and signed the non-disclosure agreement in January 2010.

Despite acknowledging the existence of the NDA, his lawyers maintained that it was "by no means a confession of guilt".

But in September 2018, as the #MeToo movement broke out, Mayorga broke the agreement by giving an interview, resulting in Las Vegas Police reopening the case.

Cristiano Ronaldo's reps declined to comment when approached by The Sun Online.
