A CLACKMANNANSHIRE yob who threatened to cut off his elderly father’s head and chop up his body has been jailed.

Robert Conacher, 46, “became angry” with dad Hendry Conacher, 73, and got a knife from the kitchen and stated he would kill him, Alloa Sheriff Court heard yesterday.

Prosecutor Rachel Wallace said the incident occurred when Conacher turned up at the old man’s home in Alloa Road, Clackmannan, on August 28 this year and was told he wasn’t being allowed to stay there.

He became aggressive, shouting at his terrified father, who called the police.

Miss Wallace said: “The accused overheard the phone call and became angry, went to the kitchen, and picked up a knife.

“He informed his father he’d ‘cut the head off him and chop up the body’.”

After being arrested Conacher told officers: “I’m going to f***ing stick one of you. See when I see you, I’m going to batter the f*** out of you.”

Conacher, of Sauchie, Clackmannanshire, pled guilty to two charges of using threatening and abusive behaviour.

Solicitor Stan Quirk, defending, said Conacher had “no clear recollection” of what had occurred but said if that was what his father was saying has happened, he accepted it.

Mr Quirk said: “My client had been in hospital, and had been taking medication. He then took alcohol, when he should not have taken any at all.

"He is utterly ashamed.”
