A three-year-old boy who waved to neighbours from his window while naked thought he was going to ‘get arrested’ after he was reported to police.

Marley Kempster-Fury, a toddler, was playing at home in Lichfield, Staffordshire, when he waved to his neighbours while naked after having a bath.

But shortly afterwards, two police officers turned up at his door and warned him not to ‘hang in windows with no clothes on’.

His mother Alex Stockton, 27, said he was left terrified and thought he would ‘get arrested’.

Miss Stockton said officers turned up at their home and said they had received a report of a naked child in a window and they had to follow it up.

At this point Marley was terrified that he was going to be arrested and ‘hid’ behind his mother while staring at the officers.

He was soon warned ‘not to hang out of windows’ by police officers described as ‘towering’ over him with handcuffs on their belts.

She told the Sun: ‘You’d think neighbours would have better things to do than report toddlers for being naked — and you’d think police have got better things to do than look into it.

‘There are thugs and murderers out there. Why are they wasting time on a naked three-year-old?’

Miss Stockton said she was also left feeling like a ‘criminal’ but soon realised she had done nothing wrong, and it was ‘everyone else’ who had ‘gone mad’.

Staffordshire Police have been approached for comment.
