The mother of four is extremely busy with her cosmetics line, her burgeoning career as a lawyer and, of course, her insanely popular reality show: Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Still, the entrepreneur gets the most joy from her family, which includes her husband Kanye West and her four young children: North, Saint, Chicago, and her youngest, Psalm West.
Kardashian isn’t shy about sharing sweet moments with her kids and loves to let her followers on social media in on her life. Recently, she shared a video revealing that, just like her, daughter Chicago West is a definite rule-breaker.
How old is Chicago West?
Kardashian and West have one of the most famous love stories in the world. The two first met and became friends in the early 2000s, before everyone knew who Kardashian really was. They didn’t start dating until early 2012, but things progressed very quickly once their relationship turned romantic. They welcomed their first child, daughter North, in 2013. They got married in 2014 and went on to have three more children: son Saint in 2015, daughter Chicago in 2018 and son Psalm in early 2019.
Kardashian’s pregnancies with North and Saint were very difficult, and she has been open about the medical problems she experienced. After Saint was born in 2015, doctors advised her not to get pregnant again. Still, Kardashian and West wanted to have a large family, so they turned to gestational surrogacy as a way to expand their family. Chicago, born in January 2018, joined the family via surrogate and was absolutely adorable right from the start.
Chicago West looks just like her mother
Celebrity children are compared to their parents all the time, and Kardashian’s kids are no exception. Still, when it comes to Chicago, the apple clearly doesn’t fall far from the tree. While most agree the two oldest West kids resemble their famous dad, Chicago is the spitting image of Kardashian.
From the shape of her face to the almond-shaped eyes, Baby Chicago is her reality-star mom’s mini-me. Kardashian even refers to her youngest daughter as “my twin.”
There’s no doubt that Chicago is very doted upon by her whole family. For her first birthday, the baby girl was even gifted with a neon-colored Mercedes G-Wagon to match one that Kardashian has in her own collection. Kardashian also shares her boldness and sense for adventure with Chicago, as demonstrated in a recent social media share.
Kim Kardashian calls Chicago West ‘my brave girl’
In late August, Kardashian took to Instagram to share a video of 19-month old Chicago fearlessly handling a small snake. The toddler allows the snake to slither all over her fingers before eventually looking into the camera and grinning widely. Kardashian captioned the video, “my brave girl Chicago” and added a snake emoji to the end.
Fans were captivated by the sight of the toddler holding the snake, and even other members of the Kardashian family commented on the post, praising Chicago’s bravery and seriousness. Still, some animal handlers spoke out after the video was shared, stating that it’s probably not wise for a toddler to be handling a snake and that the animal could have suffered serious injury. However, there was a snake handler on hand when Chicago was holding the snake, so presumably, the handler was closely monitoring the situation.
