Strictly Come Dancing returned to BBC One tonight for the first elimination show of the series.

Each of the couples looked back at their performances from Saturday, with their scores from weeks one and two combined.

Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke and head judge, Shirley Ballas then made the call on who would be first to leave.

Who left Strictly Come Dancing?

This weekend saw some huge changes to the leaderboard as the couples stepped up their game ahead of the first elimination.

Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies and her partner Aljaž Škorjanec went from the bottom of the leaderboard to the top following a faultless Foxtrot.

Meanwhile, AJ Odudu and professional dancer Kai Widdrington held onto the top spot for a second week.

In the first dance-off was soap stars Nina Wadia and Katie McGlynn, and they both had to perform their dances again.

In the end, it was Nina and her partner Neil Jones who were voted off first by the judges.
