Who is in the cast of The Haunting of Bly Manor?

From The Haunting of Hill House creator Mike Flanagan comes The Haunting of Bly Manor, which is the highly anticipated next chapter of The Haunting anthology series and has a completely brand new story.

Set in 1980s England, following an au pair’s tragic death, Henry Wingrave hires a young American nanny to care for his orphaned niece and nephew who reside at Bly Manor-but all is not as it seems.

There has been some confusion over the cast, as some are similar to The Haunting of Hill House.

However, only THREE actors are back and they are playing different characters – the rest of the cast are new, INCLUDING the children.

Victoria Pedretti as Dani Clayton

Victoria shot to fame in The Haunting of Hill House in 2018, and is back for the second series, but this time playing Dani Clayton.

Since the first series she has found success in another Netflix series, You, in which she plays Joe's new love interest, Love.

Victoria also had a small role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

In The Haunting of Bly Manor, she plays the main role of Dani.

Her character is the new nanny at Bly Manor, who has arrived from America seeking to leave her old life behind.

Henry Thomas as Henry Wingrave

Thomas has been acting since the early ’80s and famously shot to fame playing Elliott in Steven Spielberg's E.T.

Like Victoria, he was also in The Haunting of Hill House playing a different role.

In this new series he takes on the role of the owner of Bly Manor.

Also called Henry, his character hires Dani as the new nanny of his niece and nephew.

However, he is extremely reluctant to go to the property himself and asks not to be contacted unless it is "an absolute emergency".

Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Peter Quint

The third and final actor to return to The Haunting series is Oliver.

Few details have been shared about how his character Peter Quint fits into the show's story.

You may also recognise actor Oliver as Adrian Griffin, the antagonist in Leigh Whannell's 2020 adaptation of The Invisible Man.

The English actor has had several recurring television roles including playing Lucas on Emerald City, William on The Secret River and Jonathan Harker on Dracula.

T'Nia Miller as Hannah Grose

British actress T'Nia plays Hannah Grose, the housekeeper at Bly Manor.

Before this Netflix series she was known for playing Maxine in Sex Education.

T'Nia also played Charlie Morris in the Amazon series The Feed.

You may also recognise her from Channel 4's 2015 series Banana.

Rahul Kohli as Owen

You'll recognise Rahul from iZombie.

However, his other TV parts have included a recurring voice role on Harley Quinn and two episodes on Supergirl.

Rahul is also set to star in Mike Flanagan next series, Midnight Mass.

In this series he plays the role of Owen, who is the chef at Bly, and is local to the village.

Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Miles Wingrave

Newcomer Benjamin is just starting out in his career.

In 2018 he appeared in one episode of Emmerdale.

In 2020 he also starred in short film The Recycling Man.

In The Haunting of Bly Manor he plays Miles, one of the orphans Dani is in charge of.

Amelie Smith as Flora Wingrave

Amelie shot to fame in 2020 when she started voicing popular children’s character Peppa Pig.

The actress also appeared in several episodes of EastEnders back in early 2018.

This is her Netflix debut, and she plays Miles’ sister, Flora.

Her character got on well with her previous nanny but is also welcoming to Dani.

She also describes everything as “perfectly splendid”.

Tahirah Sharif as Miss Rebecca Jessel

The official series synopsis doesn't mention the character of Miss Rebecca Jessel, played by Tahirah, but she does appear briefly in the trailer.

However, we do know that Rebecca is the nanny who worked at Bly Manor before Dani took the job.

Before this show, the actress was known for starring in Netflix's A Christmas Prince film series.

She has also appeared on several episodes of Waterloo Road and Casualty.

Amelia Eve as Jamie

This is actress Eve’s first major role.

Before this, she appeared in one episode of sitcom Enterprice in 2018.

In The Haunting of Bly Manor she plays Jamie, the groundskeeper.

Her character has a passion for all things horticultural, while she is initially sceptical about some of the strange goings on.
