His most famous would be playing Cat in Red Dwarf since the 80s.

He played policeman Dwayne Myers in the crime drama Death in Paradise.

The show was supported by charities Movember, Cancer Research, Everyman and Prostate Cancer UK to raise awareness.

Danny was joined by Harry Judd from McFly and Towie's Elliott Wright.

Also stripping off was Wayne Sleep, Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden, Mark Foster, the former Olympic swimmer, Dominic Littlewood, who is a consumer affairs journalist and Alexander Armstrong, who is famed for quiz show Pointless.

Why did Danny John-Jules leave Death in Paradise?

The production company, Red Planet Pictures, shared Danny wanted to leave the show “on a high”.

He was on the show for seven years and was lucky enough to work alongside his two young children Danté and Danaè who play Jackson and Elize.

After leaving the show, Danny John-Jules took part in Strictly Come Dancing.
