Maggie Carey is an actress, screenwriter, producer, and director from the US. 

She has directed comedic shorts for television, as well as the 2013 feature The To-Do List, which she wrote and directed.

Carey was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. 

She graduated from Borah High School in 1993 after attending Jackson Elementary and West Junior High.

Carey used to work as a lifeguard at the Borah pool, which influenced her film The To-Do List.

She and Liz Cackowski produced The Jeannie Tate Show, an internet sitcom, in 2007.

Carey was a member of the improv company Upright Citizens Brigade in New York.

She also wrote and directed skits for four episodes of Funny or Die Presents about female referees supervising kids' soccer games in 2011.

In 2006, Carey married actor Bill Hader. 

The two met in Los Angeles, California, through a mutual friend.

However, in 2017, Hader and Carey separated. 

In December of that year, Hader filed for divorce and the two reached an agreement on their divorce in March 2018, which was finalized three months later.

Do Bill Hader and Maggie Carey have children?

Hader and Carey have three children together: Hannah Kathryn, born on October 6, 2009; Harper, born on July 28, 2012; Hayley Clementine, born on November 15, 2014.

Hader told Variety in 2019 that he struggled with the demands of being a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live after he became a father. 

“When I was on SNL, I was a bit of a basket case. 

“It could not have been easy on my wife at the time. I was so consumed with work and anxiety.”
