THE X Factor: Celebrity stars got together in London this afternoon for the official launch of the new series.

Simon Cowell's latest brainchild kicks off this weekend with a whole host of reality TV favourites from Love Island's Wes Nelson to Strictly's Ben Foden and Towie's Megan McKenna taking to the mic.

The Love Island stars arrived in force as Wes Nelson, Samira Mighty, Zara McDermott and Eyal Booker made a glamorous entrance.

Wes looked every inch the crooner as he wore a smart all-black outfit with a scarf.

Meanwhile, Eyal appeared to take Simon Cowell's lead and wore an unbuttoned shirt.

But the girls really turned up the glamour with Samira in a nude, sheer dress and Zara wearing a plunging ice blue number.

Towie star turned country music singer Megan McKenna showed she means business as she turned up in a smart suit.

She quit The Only Way Is Essex for a career in country music and hasn't looked back since.

The Chase star Jenny Ryan – better known as The Vixen – looked every inch the diva in a glittery wrap-around dress.

The brainbox will be leaving her comfort zone to battle it out in LA to make it through the first stage.

Chat show legend Ricki Lake brought her dog along to the launch.

She wore a white and grey dress with tough boots and a farmers' cap looking like she'd just finished walking her pooch.

Glee actor Kevin McHale looked confident in a grey polo neck and suit at the event.

And there's no wonder he's looking sure of himself – he certainly has good singing experience from his time in musical TV show Glee.

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole and Hollyoaks star Jeremy Edwards looked like they have already bonded as they messed around on the red carpet.

Brendan attempted to push his new pal out of the frame as he posed for pictures.

Coronation Street star Victoria Ekanoye – who played Angie Appleton in the ITV soap – will be singing her heart out on the show.

She looked stunning at the lunch in a sunshine yellow gown that showed off her incredible figure.

Actress and model Hayley Hasselhof – daughter of famous dad David Hasselhoff – showed off her star credentials in an all-black advert.
The 27-year-old will be keen to jump out of her dad's shadow when she takes part in the singing competition.

CBBC presenters Max and Harvey Mills showed off their unique brand of fun as they kicked the air while posing for photos.

The duo are hoping to be a big hit on the show with young fans.

The X Factor: Celebrity line-up will see Megan McKenna, 27, Love Actually child star Olivia Olson, 27, David Hasselhoff’s daughter Haley, Glee actor Kevin McHale, 31, and Eastender’s Jonny Labey, 26, compete for the unders.

And the overs category is made up of The Chase’s Jenny Ryan, 37, US chat show host Ricki Lake, 51, journalist Martin Bashir, 56, and actress Victora Ekanoye, 36.

The groups category sees influencers and bloggers Sofia, Alondra, Laura, Wendii and Natalie as V5 go up against former Love Island stars Wes Nelson, Zara McDermott, Eyal Booker and Samira Mighty and CBBC presenters Max and Harvey Mills, both 16.

Ex-Strictly pro Brendan Cole, 43, and actor Jeremy Edwards, 48, finish the line up as Cole & Edwards.

Nicole Scherzinger will rejoin the judging panel alongside Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.

First snaps of the new-look panel were unveiled earlier this week alongside new pictures of the stars vying for the crown.
