The One Show host Alex Jones has revealed the “emergency” fashion mishap she faced just hours before going on air on Thursday evening (November 3).

As the star was preparing for the latest episode of the BBC One chat show, she took to Instagram to share a video of her legs, which were covered in heavy uneven fake tan.

The star’s feet appeared to be very tanned and brown, while her legs were noticeably whiter.

Speaking to her 339k followers, Alex said: “The glamour! Look – two toned legs,” as she sat on the green sofa on set.

She followed it with the caption “emergency pre-show tan".

Alex is joined by Ronan Keating and welcomed Top Gear stars Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris, as well as ITV host Lorraine Kelly.

The 45-year-old Welsh beauty suffered another mishap just hours before Wednesday's show when her three-year-old son broke his arm and her other son fell ill just hours before coming on air.

The star admitted she was “shocked” as she shared a snap of the gorgeous tot in a sling covered in colourful marker following his horrific ordeal.

The BBC star captioned the pic: “Anybody else having a shocker of a day?!!!

“First Kit breaks his arm in two places and now has a plaster cast.

“To give you an idea, he hates socks that are slightly twisted…” she continued.

"Sleeves that are not pulled down just perfectly and now a cast for SIX WEEKS!!!

“He’s not into it…” Alex added dubiously, before revealing her day had then been made even worse.

The presenter shared a photo of her five-year-old son Teddy wearing an Iron Man costume.

“Then this one gets sent home from school with a ‘slight temperature’,” she penned.

Alex’s update on her sons comes after Kit had to undergo surgery back in May for a routine operation.

The star revealed on social media that she had spent a nerve-wracking morning waiting for him to come back from the operating theatre.

At the time, she penned: "Waiting for my little Kit to come back from theatre after a very routine op but feels like the longest morning of my life!"

Luckily, Kit appeared to be all ok after his surgery, returning home to his family.

Alex shares her three children Teddy, Kit and baby daughter Annie with her husband Charlie Thompson.
