Last night on The Masked Singer, Group B introduced themselves, and fans are already sold that The Banana is this popular rockstar.

*SPOILER ALERT* This article contains information that could spoil The Banana reveal.

The Banana on ‘The Masked Singer’

In the clue package, the Banana is lying on a football field with a cowboy hat next to him because he “overdid it” the previous night. He made several partying and hangover references and said he throws epic parties.

Additionally, the video zoomed in on a blue dog collar in the middle of the field and showed a pufferfish. The Banana admitted he’s “tough on the outside but a total smoothie on the inside,” and he confirmed that with his smooth rendition of Elvis Presley’s “A Little Less Conversation.”

Who do fans believe The Banana is?

Many viewers on The Masked Singer Reddit sub strongly believe singer-songwriter and musician, Bret Michaels, is the Banana. Several fans of Poison, a glam rock band he gained fame as the lead singer of, can tell based on his body language, hand gestures he made while singing, his overall stage presence, and a signature half-step dance move The Banana performed a few times. Additionally, some think his voice is “a dead giveaway.”

Another Reddit user broke down every clue and explained why they fit Michaels. For example, the package showed a cowboy hat, which the rocker is known for rocking the majority of the time. It also showed a poisonous pufferfish for his band, Poison.

Additionally, the rocker made several references to his popular VH1 dating show, Rock of Love, by talking about girls, hangovers, partying on a bus, and mentioned a rodeo, which is the name of one the favorite contestants from the series.

He also fell in his package, and that could be a nod to an injury he suffered while performing at the 2009 Tony Awards. Finally, the clue package showed a blue dog collar, and Michaels came from the humble blue-collar town of Butler, Pennsylvania.

Who is Bret Michaels?

Born Bret Michael Sychak in 1963, the musician received a Type 1 diabetes diagnosis at the age of six. He began playing the guitar as a teenager and formed a band, initially called Paris.

However, after a year, they changed their name to Poison and moved across the country from Pennsylvania to Los Angeles to pursue a successful music career.

Unfortunately, the band didn’t make it, and they returned home, but their 1987 song, “Talk Dirty to Me,” went platinum, and they became household names.

Even though the band became one of the biggest glam metal bands in the world, drug issues caused Michaels to physically fight with bandmate, C.C. DeVille.

In 1998, Michaels embarked on a solo career and starred in VH1 dating competition series, Rock of Love with Bret Michaels in 2007. After three very successful seasons, the third in which was a series high for VH1, Michaels passed on the fourth season to star in Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It.

In 2009, Michaels performed with Poison during the 63rd Tony Awards and was struck in the head by a descending set, knocking him down. He broke his nose but then suffered a hemorrhage incident the following year.

Michaels then sued CBS as he believed the set accident caused the hemorrhage, and they settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.

The rocker was engaged to Kristi Lynn Gibson, a woman he dated on-and-off for over 15 years and mothered his two children, Raine (19) and Jorja (14).

However, the two broke up in 2012, and Michaels seems to be single. To see if The Banana is revealed as Bret Michaels, watch The Masked Singer Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
