Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar have been married since 2002. They have two kids and they’re now old enough to watch some of their TV shows. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star talked about a funny problem she has binging the show with them and how she solves it.

Celebrities are finding ways to keep busy while staying inside during the pandemic. Gellar revealed her kids have been binging the iconic show.

“We just started,” she said on The Kelly Clarkson Show in October. “I had never thought to show it to them. They asked during quarantine. They were trying to find shows to binge. And I was like, ‘okay.’ I didn’t even know if they’d be into it, but they are like so into it.”

She continued, “Except I’m the world’s biggest disappointment for them because they’ll always ask questions and I’ll be like ‘I don’t remember. I’ll have to text someone and ask.’ They think they know it better than I do at this point.”

She has to search answers to their ‘Buffy’ questions

The actor talked about revisiting the vampire show with her children again. She gave her theory on why her kids are enjoying it.

“I think that they would like Buffy creatively whether it was me or not,” Gellar told Us Weekly. “I think I’m just, like, an added bonus, but I think they would have loved the show regardless. … I think my family is proud of it and they’re excited and it’s such a fun binge-watch.”

Sadly, she’s not that much of an expert on the show. “An episode will start and they’ll ask me a question, what happens, and I’ll be quickly Googling the episode to try to figure it out,” she said.

Gellar recently shared a message to Michelle Trachtenberg

The drama ended in 2003, but it looks like the cast members still reach out to each other. Gellar recently shared a birthday message on Instagram to Michelle Trachtenberg, who played Dawn Summers.

Gellar posted a picture of Buffy and Dawn looking at each other. “Me – ‘what do you mean, you are 35 today?!?’ Michelle- ‘how many times do I have to tell you, I’m not a little kid anymore’ Well, to me, you will always be my little sister. (Even if you’ve been taller than me since you were 15) Happy Birthday @michelletrachtenberg,” read the caption of the post.

Trachtenberg wrote in the comment section, “See my sister’s the slayer! This is my first genuine laugh out loud in these wild times. Well captioned thank you.”

It sounds like Gellar is having fun revisiting her past with her family. Luckily, she’s able to find the answers to their questions about the show.
