NBC’s thrilling crime drama The Blacklist will finally return for its milestone 10th season in February next year. Now, actor Chin Han who stars as Wujing has seemingly confirmed the end of production – at least on his part – on Instagram.

After much speculation about the show coming to an end, The Blacklist was officially renewed for another season in early 2022.

The series follows prolific criminal Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington (played by James Spader) after he mysteriously handed himself to the police despite evading arrest for over 20 years.

Red was able to gain immunity as he agreed to help the FBI task force take down other most wanted fugitives.

He successfully did so using a list he compiled after working alongside some of the most dangerous criminals across the world.

Season nine came to an emotional end after the FBI task force was able to finally close the murder case of their friend and colleague Liz Keen (Megan Boone).

She was brutally shot dead, in the final moments of the season eight finale and after an intense investigation, Red discovered Marvin Gerard (Fisher Stevens) was behind it all.

With Liz’s storyline finally closed, fans were eager to discover what the upcoming season 10 would entail.

Although bosses and the cast have remained tight-lipped, a major clue could point towards the end of production.

During his appearance as Wujing, Chin Han had been in New York and it appears as though the actor has left the Big Apple.

In his latest social media post, Chin confirmed he was now in LA – thousands of miles away from the set of The Blacklist.

It always feels like the Upside Down at #lax #strangerthings #theupsidedown #upintheair.”

Could this mean Chin has concluded all of his work duties on the NBC drama as he now leaves New York?

However, there is the possibility that Chin will return in the new year and is currently taking a break for the festive holidays.

Chin sparked a major fan frenzy when he confirmed he would reprise his role in September with an Instagram post.

The actor posed in front of The Blacklist poster and captioned the post: “Ready to rumble… again #theblacklist #jamesspader #wujing #season10 #twinning.”

Fans are eager to see the show’s return because during the finale Wujing was handed a list of criminals from Marvin.

This was hard evidence which proved Red had been working as an FBI informant for the past few years.

Marvin had taken the list and eventually killed Liz because he wanted to take over Red’s organisation.

Wujing will undoubtedly be back with a vengeance, to get back at Red who one plotted for his arrest.

Wujing first appeared back in season one and was hunted for arrest after Red claimed he was hired to help him decode a classified CIA transmission.

However, Wujing’s return was the only storyline which had fans excited for the upcoming instalment.

The series also confirmed the arrival of Siya Malik, an MI6 intelligence officer and daughter of Red’s season one ally Meera Malik (Parminder Nagra).
