Soon, we’ll all be able to experience the spot that’s close enough to the radiator in winter, with a cross breeze in summer and at the perfect angle with the TV.

Because the contents of Apartment 4A – including The Big Bang Theory sofa – is moving to the Warner Bros studio tour, one month after the final episode.

With the ‘eternal dibs’ lifted, it means that we’ll finally be able to bagsy Sheldon Cooper’s seat on the left side of the sofa without putting up a fight.

The spot, which Sheldon once called his ‘single point of consistency in an ever-changing world,’ will now be free for photo ops until your heart’s content.

Yes, Sheldon and Leonard Hofstadter’s apartment is getting the Friends treatment by moving to a place where we can all enjoy it.

In a statement, co-creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre said: ‘For 12 seasons and 279 episodes, the cast and crew of The Big Bang Theory found their home away from home on these sets on Stage 25.

‘We’re thrilled that Apartment 4A and other Big Bang locales will remind visitors of all the laughter that took place on our show.’

Among the recreations will be the CalTech Physics Lab Cafeteria, not forgetting the iconic broken elevator outside apartments 4A and 4B.

Let’s just hope Kaley Cuoco (Penny) didn’t steal too many of her favourite things from the set, after all.
