There were so many amazing guys to love from Tayshia Adams’ season of The Bachelorette. There was hunky Joe Park, the anesthesiologist from New York City, who has one thing he can’t stand in relationships. There’s Mr. Harvard pants, Bennett Jordan, who was likable but fans wound up turning on him. (By the way, did you know he went to Harvard? He’d want you to know.) There’s Ben Smith, who had an awkward and emotional exit for sure. The major exception to this list might just be Yosef Aborady, who was probably the most controversial guy of the season.

And then there was Ed Waisbrot. He wound up butting heads with Chasen Nick throughout the season but, hey, it gave him more screen time, plus we got to see his shady eye rolls. While Ed didn’t win Tayshia’s heart, he sure caught our attention and fans are dying to know what he’s been up to since his time on The Bachelorette. We’ve got the scoop.

Ed Waisbrot got a shoutout from Dateline

Ed Waisbrot had one particularly memorable moment during his time on The Bachelorette where Tayshia Adams put a sheet mask on him, while he mentioned that his favorite Friday night activity is watching Dateline. After Tayshia let Ed go, he actually got a shoutout from Dateline that referred to that hilarious moment. In a since-deleted tweet, Ed wrote: “Dateline NBC lifelong fan. Ready for Friday.” Dateline’s official Twitter account actually responded: “When you know, you know. Thanks for watching. Every time we put on our cucumber aloe mask, we’ll think of you,” (via Screen Rant).

There was another reference on social media to Ed’s time on The Bachelorette, that brought the episode when he lost the spelling and math tests. In ‘punishment,’ he was named “Man Child” and carried around a doll he named ” Carlos,” according to Bustle. Little baby Carlos came up on Instagram when fellow Bachelorette contestant Jay Smith posted a photo of himself and Ed together. “Not as fun as a night with Chris but when Ed finds a babysitter for Carlos, we paddle,” Jay wrote.

Jay brings up maybe our best memory ever from The Bachelorette: when Ed got confused looking for Tayshia’s room and wound up at Chris Harrison’s room, where they had some wine. Ed and Chris must miss each other but we’re pretty sure they’re managing okay. Besides, Ed can always tune into Dateline when he gets lonely.
