As promised by Chris Harrison, Peter Weber‘s season of The Bachelor is shaping up to be the most dramatic season ever. The Jan. 6 premiere introduced Bachelor Nation fans to a whirlwind of new cast members and a blast from the past when The Bachelorette‘s Hannah Brown returned to the franchise. And now, it looks like more chaos is coming, as both Weber and Harrison have openly admitted the new bachelor makes mistakes on the way to the turbulent finale.

It’s impossible for me to express how thankful I am for having the most amazing opportunity to find my girl. To every single woman that shows up tonight, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking a chance on me. Thank you for being patient with me when I needed it, your grace never went unnoticed. To everyone involved in playing a part to make all of this come together, thank you. You all know who you are and we’re family for life. To Bachelor Nation, you all have been absolutely amazing. Prior to The Bachelor premiere, Harrison hinted Weber may not always be the same charming character we met on Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. When speaking with Good Morning America, the host confirmed fans will see Weber differently during his season — and not in a good way.

“Nobody’s perfect and Peter is just like everybody else,” Harrison said. “He has his issues and he has things that will come up. I think there will be times … where you’re thinking, ‘I don’t love this side of him.’”

That said, Weber already told Bachelor Nation he would be shedding his perfect persona when he was cast as the show’s next lead in September.

“There’s gonna be ups and downs. I know that’s coming,” Weber told NBC Chicago. “And, you know, I’m not gonna be perfect… I’m gonna follow my heart. And as cliché as that sounds, I trust this, you know?”

Peter Weber owns up to his mistakes on ‘The Bachelor’

Now, Weber has officially finished filming The Bachelor, and it seems he is owning up to his mistakes. But don’t worry — he regrets nothing.

“I made mistakes for sure. There’s no doubt about that,” Weber told Us Weekly on Jan. 8. “I made mistakes for sure. There’s no doubt about that.”

He continued: “I was really lucky that a lot of the women were so patient with me and they showed me a lot of grace throughout it because I’m not perfect at all — not even close. So I wouldn’t say regrets, but some mistakes.”

So what “mistakes” will Weber make? Although he didn’t explicitly share what happened, Weber revealed he had difficulty letting go of multiple women on The Bachelor.

“One of the hardest things of the entire season was saying bye to relationships because that’s why I applied,” he said. “I didn’t want to say bye to them. And I really got attached to a lot of women and it got me in trouble at some points, as you guys would see. But again, I don’t necessarily regret that because that was just wearing my heart on my sleeve.”

Then in an interview with Glamour on Jan. 9, Weber alluded to something going down during a hometown date.

“Every season I’ve seen, I’ve never seen what happens on this hometown happen,” he said. “I don’t think it’s ever been seen before. It’s a huge zigzag; it may confuse some people. Listen, I’m not perfect, and I make mistakes throughout this, and I’m not saying there’s mistakes on that one, but there’s a lot of back-and-forth, and that hometown is pretty crazy.”

What Peter Weber wants his season of ‘The Bachelor’ to be remembered for

For now, fans will have to wait and see how Weber rids of his perfect image on The Bachelor. And although both Harrison and Weber keep hinting at an emotional ride until the finale, the reigning bachelor still hopes his season will be known as a great love story.

When speaking with E! News on Jan. 7, Weber was asked what he wants to be remembered for. During Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, it was the fence jump. Then in Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, it was the windmill. However, Weber just wants to find love. He said:

I was asked that a lot, like, what do you want to be remembered as your season. And I was very clear going into it: Nothing. I just want to be remembered as, hopefully, a great example of a love story that people can live through these next couple months, and follow along with it. But yeah, at the end, obviously every season is unique in its own way, and mine’s definitely unique, and I couldn’t have expected it to go the way it did, but it’s real life.
