MACKENZIE McKee has been slammed for making an 'ignorant' comment about the transgender community.

The Teen Mom OG star, 27, sparked backlash when she referred to Caitlyn Jenner, 72, as 'a trans' in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

Mackenzie had shared a screenshot of Caitlyn's Instagram post, which was a photo of herself alongside her quote: "We have to protect women's sports."

Caitlyn has been vocal in her belief that transgender athletes who were born biological males should not participate in women's sports.

The MTV star captioned Caitlyn's post: "Listening to a trans herself understand what's right and wrong. Without attacking or online bullying.

"It's ok to stand up for the biologically born women who are being done wrong."

Critics slammed Mackenzie for her "cruel" comment on a Teen Mom Reddit thread.

One wrote: "This is so ignorant and cruel, it's infuriating. Mackenzie should have been fired for racism already.

"They let it go and now she's branching into transphobia."

Another added: "'A trans'. Nice, Mack. Keep digging that hole."

RACIAL SLUR

Mackenzie also faced backlash last year when she called Vice President Kamala Harris a "colored woman".

Mackenzie was branded "racist" in January 2021 after writing on Facebook: "Sorry, no.

"There are a lot of amazing women in the world for my daughters to look up to and see as role models. Kamala Harris is not one of them.

"It blows my mind that out of all the amazing colored women in this world, that is the one who is making history.”

The mother-of-three feuded with fellow Teen Mom star Cheyenne Floyd over her comment.

NASTY FEUD

Cheyenne claimed Mackenzie's husband Josh feared she would act like an "angry black woman" when they talked on the phone.

She wrote on her Instagram Stories: "After Mackenzie's colored comment came out, she asked to call me, and I told her no problem.

"We had a conversation that she continued to put her foot in her mouth, explaining how she knew nothing about segregation & how black people were referred to as colored where she came from.

"I took my time to teach a lesson when I did not have to. It is not my responsibility to teach you.

CHEYENNE'S ANGER

"But since I am the only black cast member on the show, she felt like she had to call me and explain. After an hour-long conversation, she thanked me for even talking to her because she said her husband thought I was going to be 'one of the angry black women.'"

Cheyenne went on: "They were surprised that I took the call & took the time to explain to her why the term is beyond incorrect.

"She apologized to me and I explained she did not need to apologize to me. You can't hurt me because I know my history. I am not your colored."

The mother-of-two then accused Mackenzie of "bullying" her and having an "odd fixation" with her.

Last month, Mackenzie fueled rumors that she has been fired from Teen Mom in the wake of her controversial comments.

She told The Sun in February that she hasn't been asked to film for the next season of Teen Mom yet.
