Strictly's Greg Wise says he thinks Craig Revel Horwood was "frightened" by the "bubbling mass of emotion" in the room during his dance, which saw him awarded a meagre three points.

In spite of this, silver fox Greg, 55, has won over many new fans thanks to his honesty around grief and for dedicating a song to his late sister Clare Wise whom he cared for.

Good Morning Britain's Alastair Campbell and Susanna Reid asked him about his thoughts following Craig's harsh response.

Susanna asked: "You did a very moving performance at the weekend. What did you make of the reaction to it? I think we all thought Craig was a little tough on you."

Greg said: "I think when you have a huge, great, bumbling mass of emotion in a space some people get a bit frightened by it."

"I know nothing about Craig, bless him, but I think he was unable to access the joy and the emotion and the explosive energy of the piece," insisted Greg.

"He just said that was rubbish. which is fine, that's his choice" he added.

His dance partner Karen Hauer insisted: "You know we get to use one of my favourite dances and the mister here is playing James Bond as it's movie week. We're going to come back fighting" she insisted.

Before performing their dance, Karen was seen saying to Greg: "This week we have a couples choice and we can pick any genre, and we're dancing a disco number. I know that there is someone very special in your life that loved disco."

"Yeah, my gorgeous sister Clare would always have banged disco music on whenever you came round, so I want to dedicate it to my sister the disco diva," he said emotionally.

The pair are performing a Paso Doble at the weekend.

Karen said: "It's about the enjoyment and him learning and putting him through the paces of the technique and you know, the character and and the musicality behind it."

Susanna asked if Greg has found the time to go and see the new Bond film what with his Strictly training.

Greg exclaimed: "No! Are you mad? I haven't even had time to wash my undies!"

"TMI!" insisted Alastair, before asking which era of James Bond he'll be channeling.

"Early! Probably more Sean Connery I think, it's got to bring a little bit more menace than Roger Moore could bring" he added.
