Strictly Come Dancing 2020 hasn’t even kicked off properly and there has already been some intense discussion about which celebrities could fall victim to this year’s curse.

Clara Amfo insisted that she wouldn’t be finding love on the BBC dance floor, while Jamie Laing revealed he isn’t worried about straying as he’s totally loved up with girlfriend Sophie ‘Habbs’ Habboo.

The Made In Chelsea star, 31, is partnered up with Karen Hauer – with the pair opting for a Cha Cha for their first performance.

And best pal Alex Mytton is adamant that his romance is definitely strong enough to survive the show.

Chatting to Metro.co.uk about the curse – which has broken many couples in the past – he laughed: ‘I think that Jamie is more cursed than the curse so he’ll do a flip reverse on the curse.

‘Those guys are really strong and I don’t think it’ll be an issue.’

Many romances have fallen foul of the show in the past, with Katya Jones and Neil Jones being the latest couple to call time on their relationship.

Last year the professional dancers shocked fans when they announced their decision to split in an emotional Instagram statement, after 11 years together.

Jamie notoriously doesn’t have the best luck with relationships – with his cheating exploits regularly unfolding on the E4 reality show.

But he explained that he’s not worrying about the speculation as he’s ‘very lucky’ with Habbs.

Which is seriously sweet.

Aside from the rumourmill, Alex also revealed he’s excited to watch his best pal’s battle for the Glitterball – as he ‘famously has no rhythm.

‘I actually really want to see him dance, so I’m quite excited to actually watch that,’ he continued.

‘Jamie has famously got no rhythm, [his dancing skills] are pretty similar to his singing skills which are pretty abysmal.

‘He’s so competitive and he’s quite sporty, so I reckon he’ll try, he’ll really give it his all and try his best.

‘I always him jibe him for it and say he’s got no rhythm so he’ll prove me wrong, hopefully.’

Over to you, Jamie…

Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight, at 7.25, on BBC One.
