In an interview, Mary reveals that Christine’s alleged offer to fellow ‘Selling Sunset’ star Emma Hernan’s client is ‘completely unethical’ and ‘illegal’ if a key document had been signed.

AceShowbizChristine Quinn faced a shocking allegation in the final episode of “Selling Sunset“. Co-star Mary Fitzgerald is now sharing her two cents on the claims that Christine is bribing Emma Hernan‘s client.

In an interview with E! News, Mary revealed that it could’ve been a far bigger issue for the realtor and the brokerage. The real estate agent claimed that the offer was “completely unethical” and also “illegal” if a key document had been signed.

“If Emma had had the listing agreement signed already, which she was getting ready to, it would be illegal,” Mary explained. “So [Christine] would lose her license, she would lose everything. But the listing agreement for this particular property wasn’t signed just yet, luckily. Otherwise, she would have legal issues.”

The newly-appointed vice president went on to note that Oppenheim Group does not condone this type of behavior. “We pride ourselves on our integrity,” she shared, “and the way we treat clients and the way we treat each other and we can’t have this at our brokerage. It’s just it’s not okay.”

Christine, meanwhile, denied that she offered Emma’s client $5,000 to not work with her, but she insinuated that the drama is just for the show. “30 minutes till the launch of #SellingSunset enjoy the new season and all of its 5,000 fake storylines,” so she wrote on Twitter on April 21.

When one fan asked why she had offered the alleged bribe, the mom of one replied, “Omg bless your heart you actually think the show is real.”

In episode 10 of “Selling Sunset”, Christine claimed that “there’s absolutely no truth to this.” She continued, “I don’t know why Emma is once again trying to make me look bad and stir the pot and make up lies about me.”

Mary, meanwhile, shared that Christine’s fate at the Oppenheim Group would be announced during the reunion. “I think that’s going to have to be up to Jason. It’s his decision at the end of the day,” she said of Christine’s potential firing. “I can’t imagine that he’s going to get around not revealing it.”

“Selling Sunset” season 5 reunion is set to arrive on Netflix on May 6.
