Fans are closer to learning who will be “America’s Next Drag Superstar” of season 13. RuPaul is already looking towards the future, sharing the casting call with drag queens during 2020.

Here’s what we know about RuPaul’s future projects, including RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars 6 and the confirmed RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14.

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 13 premiered on the television network, VH1

Even a pandemic can’t keep a good queen down. Although it was somewhat impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, 2020 brought Drag Race fans season 12, All Stars season 5, and Drag Race Holland

With the new year, (or the “Ru year” as RuPaul says,) came a new set of contestants on season 13 of this reality competition series. This season required several new safety measures, including quarantining the contestants prior to their entrance into the Werk Room.

There were less celebrity guests who appeared on the judge’s panel, even though some, like Anne Hathaway, appeared to virtually coach the drag performers. Still, with traditional challenges like the “Ball” challenge, the Rusical, and Snatch Game, these contestants had a chance to show off their charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent.

RuPaul posted the ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 14 casting call to YouTube

One queen will even land the title “America’s Next Drag Superstar.” Although RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13 is still premiering new episodes on a weekly basis, RuPaul is already planning for season 14 of the series, sharing the casting call with fans during 2020.

“Calling all queens — the time has come. Casting for RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14 has begun,” the host shared in a YouTube video. “Do you have what it takes to win the crown?”

Although this video was posted in November 2020, the deadline for auditions was on Jan. 15, 2021. That means RuPaul most likely already has the next set of contestants for the upcoming season. However, there’s no premiere date for this upcoming season. Not yet, anyway.

When will ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 14 premiere?

The cast of season 14 will, presumably, not be announced for at least a few months. In the meantime, fans look forward to more news regarding the spinoff series, RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars, with season 6 looming on the horizon.

The cast for this spinoff has not been announced, although previous seasons featured fan-favorites like Shea Couleé, Alaska 5000, and Trixie Mattel. All-Stars isn’t the only spinoff for Drag Race fans to binge-watch.

World of Wonder also announced Queen of the Universe, a singing-based spinoff featuring RuPaul. There are also episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 2 which are available on BBC Three or stream on BBC iPlayer.

New episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13 are available on VH1, premiering on a weekly basis.
