RICHARD Madeley revealed his furious wife Jusy Finnigan blanked him for two days on their summer holiday after he made a big blunder.

Hosting today's Good Morning Britain, Richard took a deep breath as Susanna Reid asked him if he enjoyed his summer.

The broadcaster recounted how he forgot to pack Judy's clothes despite clear instructions before they had set off.

It left him desperately scrambling to get the items sent abroad via a courier, and he even gave his wife his credit card to try and make amends.

He said: "It didn't get off to the best of starts. Judy and I drove to France and I was responsible for packing the car, and Judy said to me the morning we left, 'there are two lots of clothes on hangers in the spare room, pack them both'.

"We get to France and Judy say 'where's that jacket I wanted to change into? Where's that skirt?' I'd left half of her clothes in London. She'd bought them specially.

"I think I'd been in less trouble if I'd had an affair. Anyway thank god for Fed-Ex."

Fortunately, the couples' kids went round to the house and arranged for them to be sent over.

Richard added: "She basically didn't speak to me for the first two days."

Elsewhere this morning, Richard joked Laura Tobin "represented breakfast" as she presented from Svalbard, Norway.

Laura was accompanied by an armed guard in case she was attacked by a wild polar bear out on a glacier.

Fortunately, the climate change segment passed incident-free, with Laura insisting she was safe.
