It’s almost hard to believe that the last time Rachel Lindsay and Peter Kraus spoke to each other IRL was at that extremely awkward After the Final Rose ceremony back in 2017, right? Bachelor Nation peeps are literally always running into each other, but somehow Rachel and Peter haven’t had the opportunity to exchange words. That is, until now.

During her and Becca Kufrin’s Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Rachel revealed that she and Peter “communicated” during the George Floyd and Black Lives Matter protests and shared that “he was asking me questions about it and stuff for some advice about responses he had gotten.” (Whatever that means.)

Rachel didn’t share anything too specific, but she did say that her and Peter’s conversation almost led to them following each other on social media. Ultimately, Rachel and Peter decided not to do that because “it would just turn into something that it shouldn’t.”

“I still get messages that tell me, ‘You were really into Peter.’ It’s like, guys, I’m married now,” Rachel added, making a point to note that she and her husband Bryan Abasolo just celebrated their first year of marriage. “It’s sad because we were like, ‘It’s probably not a good idea to hit that follow button.'”

For what it’s worth, Peter seems to have moved on now—back in 2018, he shared that while he had “zero communication” with Rachel at the time, he was still pretty tuned in to the happenings of her life with Bryan. “She’s still very much in the press, and so I see it from time to time. I’m happy for them,” he told Us Weekly.
