Today’s This Morning saw Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield back presenting the latest edition and they were joined by Michael Barrymore to talk about Strike It Lucky, make-up artist Alana Pignatiello as well as chatting about the latest coronavirus news. But as they returned from the break, Phillip snapped at one member of the crew when the theme tune failed to play.

Usually the iconic theme tune is played at the start and end of an advert break.

However, when the show returned from a break later in the show, the drumming began before it fell silent.

Holly tried to do her own impression of the theme song but it didn’t match up and Phillip wasn’t too impressed.

“What’s up with the drummer?” Phillip demanded to know.

After looking around for confirmation, the theme tune began once more.

“Come on, you’ve got one job!” the host exclaimed. “Goodness sake.”

Phillip had tried to bang out the drums himself as he laughed: “He’s got a loose stool and he’s…”

“Don’t want to think about that!” Holly hit back as Phillip joked: “No one needs to know about that.”

It’s not the first time Phillip has been annoyed by a blunder on the show this week.

On Monday, the presenter stormed off after Holly made a mistake when they played Spin to Win.

The pair had to call two viewers before Laura from Norwich picked up the phone and shouted out the correct passphrase.

She went on to win £800 after Phillip spun the wheel, with the team also sending over the coveted This Morning bag of treats including a jigsaw.

But it was as the segment came to a close that Holly made a mistake.

Revealing what was coming up on the rest of the show, she told viewers: “We’re talking to Joey Essex in just a moment but there is another chance for you to win.”

The host stopped and fell silent before trying to continue with the rest of the show’s schedule.

“And there’s a prize worth over £135,000…,” she added.

However, Holly seemed confused by what she had just read as she told Phillip: “I just read loads of numbers!

One hundred and thirty five thousand pounds up for grabs and Josie’s got all the details!”

Clearly unimpressed, Phillip pulled a face and joking stormed off set out of the camera’s view.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am.
