Phillip Schofield shares rare snap with lookalike mum in Mother's Day tribute

THIS Morning host Phillip Schofield shocked fans as he shared a rare picture of him and his lookalike mum.

Philip, 60, shared the snap to mark Mother's Day as he sent his mum a sweet and loving message.

In the snap, taken outside the Blackpool Tower, both Phillip and his mum, Pat, 85, beamed as they shot their best smiles toward the camera.

Philip wrote alongside the selfie: "Through thick and thin she's always there."

He continued: "Happy Mother's Day to my amazing mum."

In the snap, both Phil and Pat looked incredibly tanned as they took in the sights of the Northern seaside town.

Philip and his co-star Holly Willoughby have faced an up and down year on This Morning.

The pair faced public backlash over footage that appeared to show them skipping the queue to see the Queen lying in state.

A petition was launched to have Holly and her co-host Phillip Schofield sacked.

But the pair were backed by bosses who insisted they'd done nothing wrong.
