Over the weekend, comedian Nikki Glaser hosted the MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted. The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cast was in attendance, including Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.
Throughout the show, Glaser made a few jabs at the Jersey Shore cast. After a few drinks, Polizzi didn’t take too kindly to some of the host’s jokes. While the clip of “Snooki” heckling Glaser never aired, it didn’t take long for fans to catch wind of it. Now, the reality TV star has apologized to Glaser. Here’s what she said.

Since 2009, Jersey Shore has entertained millions. Now, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is one of the most memorable reality TV shows of all time.
For the first time in 13 years, the cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation was recognized by MTV with the Reality Royalty lifetime achievement award. The reality show also won the golden popcorn for Best Docu-Reality series. Vinny Guadagnino, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, and Angelina Pivarnick joined Polizzi to accept the honor in person.
“Pardon, pardon — I am finally drunk,” Polizzi said during her acceptance speech. All of that alcohol led to a big misunderstanding with the ceremony’s host.

No one in attendance at the MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted was safe from Glaser’s jokes. That was especially the case with the Jersey Shore cast. But one joke didn’t land with Polizzi.
“‘Snooki‘ did heckle me during a portion that was cut for both of our sakes,” Glaser told Nightly Pop. “When I get heckled, I’m not the best version of myself. She had a little too much to drink and didn’t understand a joke I was making.”
Glaser said she connected with Polizzi briefly before the show started and warned her about the jokes she might make. “Sometimes you have to warn people like, ‘I’m going to be kind of mean, but that’s the style,’” Glaser explained.
When Glaser made a joke about the cast “still being alive,” Polizzi lashed out. “You’re the same age as us,” Polizzi reportedly replied, misunderstanding Glaser’s joke. “She thought I was saying she was old.”
“I had to explain to her later, ‘I’m not surprised you’re alive because you’re old, I’m surprised you’re alive because you do dumb stuff like heckle the host of a show that you’re the honoree on,” Glaser laughed.
With more Jersey Shore jokes still in her arsenal, Glaser says she asked to do the rest of the show away from Polizzi’s table for fear of being heckled by the rest of the cast in attendance.

The morning after the MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted was filmed, Glaser got a message from Polizzi. “I got a DM from ‘Snooki’ being like, ‘I don’t even remember what I said.” Apparently when Polizz woke up the day after the ceremony, several people told her she did the “dumbest things.”
“I am so sorry, that was your job — that was so ridiculous of me,” Polizzi apology concluded. Glaser says she has been heckled in the past. Still, she was glad Polizzi reached out and apologized.
