NEFTLIX horror movie The Perfection has left viewers "vomiting" after watching its gory mutilation scene.

Allison Williams, who starred in Get Out and HBO series Girls, takes the lead in the chilling flick that sees her character chop off her girlfriend's arm during a trip to a lake.

The Perfection landed on Friday and follows lovers Charlotte (Williams) and Lizzie (Logan Browning) after they meet at music college and strike up a friendship.

But on their romantic getaway things turn nasty when Lizzie becomes hysterical and feels insects crawling under her skin, while Charlotte tries frantically to help her.

She pulls a cleaver out of her rucksack and insists that they have to cut off the infected limb – before carrying out the carvery.

And with scenes of bugs, distress, screaming, insanity, murder and blood, The Perfection absolutely horrified fans.

People rushed to Twitter and shared expletive filled rants as they reacted to the chilling images on screen.

One person wrote: "The perfection on Netflix is real life scary as f**k the fact that people really think like that in real life wow."

One more squirmed: "New scary movie on Netflix: The Perfection Watch that shit. It takes a while to get into but shit really does hit the fan."

Others complained of feeling sick and experiencing headaches after watching episodes.

The synopsis for the movie reveals:  "A troubled musical prodigy (Allison Williams) seeks out the new star pupil of her former school (Logan Browning) with shocking consequences in this elegant and terrifying suspense ride, the most buzzed-about movie at last year's Fantastic Fest."

Speaking of her new role, Allison recently revealed that she learnt a lot about playing a complex character who undergoes a transformation as the film progresses from her role Rose in Get Out.

She told In Session Film: "I think I learnt a lot about how to do this very specific kind of thing with Get Out."
