Neighbours fans have asked Karl Kennedy star Alan Fletcher to join EastEnders, after the actor posed for a photograph behind the famous Queen Vic bar.
Australian soap Neighbours recently came to an end after 37 years, leaving fans in tears following an emotional finale that saw stars including Guy Pearce and Kylie Minogue bid farewell to the beloved programme.

In the days since, Alan Fletcher has visited the UK and shared a sweet snap behind the bar of the Queen Vic pub on the EastEnders set.
Smiling for the camera, the actor jokingly captioned the post: "Tried out for a new job at my favourite local @bbceastenders #theVic (didn't get the gig). "
Fans went wild for the post, with some asking for his Neighbours character Dr Karl Kennedy to move to Albert Square and take over ownership of a GP practice – or even the Queen Vic Pub itself.
One commented: "They missed a trick here. The place needs you to cheer things up."
A second added: "There is a new GP surgery that's opened in the square… Karl and Susan emigrating you say?"
"That would make me watch EastEnders again," said a third, while a fourth added: "You could have been the new owners, you and Susan, after Danny Dyer leaves."
One fan even suggested that he should be joined by one of his fellow Neighbours co-stars, saying: "Would love to see you as the new pub landlord and I am here for Rebekah E as Sharon's Aussie cousin. MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!"
Other viewers added that he could make a cameo as himself in EastEnders too, and even called for him to join other famous soaps including Emmerdale and Coronation Street.
"You could do a cameo as yourself, in the UK to celebrate Neighbours but took a wrong turn and ended up in the Vic," said one fan.
Another, speaking of ITV's Coronation Street, added: "The Rovers Return will have you," with one fan commenting: "Get yourself up to @emmerdale."
However despite fan calls to join other soaps, Alan Fletcher has recently commented that he might follow in Dr Karl Kennedy's footsteps, after revealing he is considering entering medicine.
Speaking to Magic Radio, Alan said: "Now that I've finished Neighbours, I'm thinking about actually going into medicine."
