She’s a woman of many talents, but Dancing on Ice contestant Myleene Klass has revealed that ice skating is not one of them.

Confessing that she’s not feeling very confident about taking part in the ITV competition, TV presenter and Radio DJ Myleene said she has major ‘fear’ when it comes to nailing her routines.

On top of that, the 42-year-old has started comparing herself to her rink side rivals, including former Olympic athlete Colin Jackson, and is worried that she won’t be able to keep up.

Myleene took a break from training to update her Instagram followers on how things have been going alongside her pro skating partner.

Speaking on her Instagram story, she confessed: “Ok, so I’m dishevelled because I’ve just come off the ice. Oh man, I’ve got the fear today!”

Myleene then said she felt like she was behind in training ahead of the show kicking off in January – especially because her and pal Denise Van Outen are the only two without any prior skating experience.

She continued: “I don’t usually get this because I really think just paddle your own canoe, do not compare yourself to what anyone else is doing.

“But I found out today that whilst I’m trying to learn to stand, there’s people who are working on jumps because it’s only me and Denise [Van Outen] that are starting from scratch.

“Everyone’s been skating since they were kids… Oh my gosh. Anyway, I’ve just got the fear today,” the mum-of-three added.

On a later Instagram story, the former I’m a Celeb star went on to explain that she was putting her crisis of confidence down to being up all night with her one-year-old son Apollo, before going on to tip Colin Jackson as the winner of the 2021 series.

She said: “I think it’s just because I’m tired because the baby was up all night with teething. Anyway, don’t put your money on me – put it on Colin Jackson!’

It’s not the first time that Myleene has opened up about having very little experience when it comes to ice skating.

Back when she was announced as the first contestant for the ITV show, Myleene said: "I have a 13 year old daughter and a 9 year old daughter who are obsessed with ice skating.

"They both ice skate and I stand there and I hold the coats. That’s my role – to tie the shoelaces and hold the coats. Now it's my turn to learn and I can't wait!"
