Fans have now been given their exciting first look at the upcoming sixth and final season of the sensational Biblical Netflix series. In the last ten episodes, Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) and his friends face a dangerous new threat, but the devil could face a tough decision before he finally restores the balance between good and evil.

Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia) could finally discover her friends’ devilish secret in the upcoming final season of Lucifer.

The civilian liaison and nightclub owner has managed to hide his true identity as the fallen son of God (Dennis Haysbert) from all but a select few throughout the series.

After revealing himself to Linda Martin (Rachael Harris) and Chloe Decker (Lauren German), his office rival Dan Espinoza (Kevin Alejandro) finally discovered the truth in season five.

However, one of Lucifer’s closest friends and allies has yet to get a glimpse at his real face.

Some brand new stills from the upcoming sixth season of Lucifer suggest all that could be about to change.

Plot details are still being kept sparse for the time being, but one image has teased a tough conversation between Ella and Chloe.

Lucifer’s first love will be feeling the pressure after quitting the LAPD at the end of the last season.

Meanwhile, her boyfriend’s rebellious sister Rory (Brianna Hildebrand) is causing reality as they know it to bend in on itself.

With the fate of the Universe on their hands and Lucifer busy with his new godly duties, Chloe may be forced to enlist the help of their uninitiated CSI friend.

So far, the quirky forensic analyst has treated Lucifer’s claim he’s the bona fide devil as some sort of elaborate joke.

As the devil is unable to lie, Ella maintains her suave, British friend is simply committing to a form of method acting, despite being the most devoutly religious member of the team.

Her beliefs could come crashing down if speculation is to be believed and Ella finally finds out the truth at some point in season six.

This rumour has been a frequent point of discussion for the Lucifer fanbase for some time, with plenty of fans expecting her to find out any day now.

Some have also pointed out a crucial moment in the new trailer which could also hint towards a major revelation for Ella.

Over on Reddit, one viewer commented: “[In the trailer], we see a scene of her having a shocking revelation, where she is visibly surprised/slightly distressed.

“This is very likely her finding out about everything, as she is the most religious person to have found out, she would likely have the greatest reaction.”

Considering Rory’s plans seem to be warping the fabric of reality itself, it’s surely only a matter of time before Ella cottons on to something supernatural at play.

Then again, there are still a number of fans who insist the investigator will deny Lucifer’s claims until the day she dies, presumably to reunite with all her old friends in the Silver City.

Thankfully, there’s only a few short weeks before all ten episodes of the final instalment are released and all will be revealed.

Lucifer season 6 will be released on Friday, September 10 on Netflix.
