After a woman asked Lindsay Lohan to help her come out to her parents, the actress used the opportunity to give her fan a few sweet words of encouragement.

TikTok user Alana, who uses the username shhlana, first posted a video 4 days ago telling her followers she might ask Lohan to come out to her parents for her through Cameo, a popular site that lets fans order personalized videos from their favorite stars.

In a follow up TikTok, Alana revealed she did go through with her plan, but the resulting video is "not what I expected at all."

Lohan's Cameo then played, and the Mean Girls actress had some positive wisdom to give Alana.

"Hi Alana, it's Lindsay Lohan, I know that you are about to take a very big step in telling your parents who you truly are and what you want them to accept of you, and I think you should do it yourself," Lohan says.

"I think that coming from you, you'll feel a lot of power and strength and it's important that you are who you truly are and that you love yourself and that you can live by that and tell your parents that. I promise you they will understand," she adds, before sending Alana "all the love in the world and strength and support."

Lohan has dated both men and women in the past, including Wilmer Valderrama and celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson.

The actress, who turned 34 in July, also got reflective on Instagram on her special day and shared some things she'd learned with her followers.

"It's my birthday and I've had a really beautiful day," the actress began in the video, which was captioned "Gratitude."

"And during all these tough times I feel like I've learned to understand the simplicity of life and birthdays," Lohan continued, "I was thinking about how many birthdays I've had that are just like so extravagant and how lucky we all are to just have the people around us that we love and the people in our lives that we love and how simple is key."

"I'm 34 now and it's been a beautiful day and I'm really happy and really grateful to have good people in my life and I look forward to sharing that with other people in my work and in everything I do from here on out," the Mean Girls star concluded, before blowing a kiss to her followers.
