HARRISON Ford left Indiana Jones fans shell-shocked when he stopped by a pub in North Shields for a bite to eat.

The A-list star pulled up to The Ship's Cat after working up an appetite on his bicycle.

Wearing black Lycra cycling gear, the 78-year-old movie legend is said to have tucked into a £17.95 seabass and an £11.50 portion of mussels.

A picture of Harrison at the venue was shared on its official Facebook page and was captioned: "Imagine sitting here enjoying your coffee then you look over and it's…. Indiana Jones!"

"What an honour to have Harrison Ford join us today on the decking here at the Ship's Cat! You are welcome back anytime. What a legend!"

He was back in character as the fictitious archaeologist in North Yorkshire today where he was pictured in Indi's trademark fedora.

The actor, who first played Jones in 1981, will star with Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller Bridge, 35.

Bosses have covered the bad guys' Nazi Swastikas on set in order to avoid offence.

A source said: "They're desperate not to cause offence, so filming will mainly take place at night, under the cover of darkness.

"All effort is being taken to be as sensitive as possible."

Haunted Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland is another location being used to shoot the film.

Some of the film crew are already spooked out, claiming they have encountered unpleasant sensations during set visits as they plan the scenes.

An insider told us: “It sounds silly but before filming even starts, all any of us are talking about is the ghost. It’s a seriously creepy place.

“A surprising number of the crew really believe in this stuff and it’s rattled everyone. A number of the team are reluctant to even go into the oldest part of the castle, it’s really shaken them up.

“Aside from the ghosts, it’s a huge production and great news for the British film industry, which has been on its knees for 18 months. It’s great to see such a huge blockbuster getting under way.

“It’s a major priority for the studio so it needs to get going – ghosts or not.

"The team will have to overcome it, even if some of them want to avoid certain places.”

Harrison reprises his role in the new instalment of the Steven Spielberg and George Lucas film franchise, which was last played out in 2008’s Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull.
