I'M A Celeb star Shane Richie’s wife Christie has revealed he has a secret sign to tell his children he loves them.

The actress, ex-EastEnders star Shane's second wife after Coleen Nolan, revealed he did the signal on TV last night.

The 56-year-old Alfie Moon actor did the move, where he splays his fingers over his face, during the live portion of the first episode.

Christie posted a picture of it on Instagram, writing: "Shane’s special signal to the children, telling them he loves them."

She added the hashtags: "#love #daddy #husband" as well as: "#soproud #hecanbequitefunnysometimes."

Shane has five children, including three – 14-year-old Mackenzie Blue, 12-year-old Lolita Bell and nine-year-old Romani-Skye Angel – with Christie.

He also has two older sons – 31-year-old singer Shane Jr and Rixton and 28-year-old Emmerdale star Jake – with Coleen, 55.

Fans were delighted to learn about his secret signal, with one writing: "Adorable & typical of Shane keeping that connection with his kids while he’s in the castle."

Another wrote: "How lovely. He was great last night. Very funny. ?."

Shane was chosen, alongside Jordan North, to do the first trial of the series, involving a coffin filled with snakes.

Other famous faces appearing on the show this year include Sir Mo Farah, Jessica Plummer, Vernon Kay, Beverley Callard and Victoria Derbyshire.

Christie, Shane's wife of 13 years, is no stranger to showbiz herself, acting in TV hits The Last Dance, American Daylight and Hustle.

Shane has said of her: "For the first time since Coleen I'd found a relationship that was based on honesty.

"It was pure. There were no secrets or lies."
