I’m A Celebrity 2019 contestant Ian Wright, 56, was the fifth celebrity voted out of this year’s show, as he departed his fellow campers on Wednesday night. But fans weren’t so pleased when Ant and Dec didn’t fill him in on important football news the former sportsman missed during his weeks in the Australian wilderness.

If you choose to enter the Ozzy jungle, you’re cut off from the rest world for as long as you stay in, and unfortunately for the Arsenal legend, he missed out on some seriously important football news.

As Ian lost out on being crowned King of the jungle last night, viewers were left shocked that he wasn’t told about the recent big stories in the world of football.

Instead, supporters have been quick to try and update the 56-year-old on all the goings on around Arsenal and the Premier League, and the latest sacking of Unai Emery.

During his stint on the show, he also missed Mauricio Pochettino leaving Tottenham Hotspurs who was replaced Jose Mourinho, previously of Chelsea and Manchester United.

It has been quite the time to leave the English football scene given all that has taken place in the regular Match Of The Day guest’s absence.

So, fans took to Twitter to try and update the latest evictee with all the news they could, while blasting the show for not doing the job.

One viewer snapped: “Pretty disappointed that they didn’t mention Unai Emery got sacked to Ian #imaceleb.

Another commented: “If they don’t tell Ian unai Emery was sacked what is the point #ImACeleb.”

“ITV missed a proper big chance there to tell ian that Arsenal sacked Emery, Tottenham sacked Pochettino and was replaced with mourinho. Smh #ImACeleb,” a third chimed in.

A fourth said: “Ian Wright coming home to no Emery, no Pochettino, José at Spurs, Everton in the bottom 3, and arsenal didn’t win a single game in any competition since he left for Australia #Wrighty #imaceleb.”

Ian has shown he can get a little ratty when things don’t go his way.

He took on the role of alpha-male in the group, alongside ex-England rugby player and Tuesday’s evictee, James Haskell.

Fans were gutted they didn’t get to see his reaction to the news, which would have probably left him irate.

“So wanted them to tell Ian live about Emery to see his reaction #imaceleb,” someone moaned on the social media site.

“I just want to see his reaction from all of the @Arsenal news,” another whined.

It’s almost been half a month since the former striker first entered the jungle on November 17th but alas, his time has come to an end.

And, he’s probably looking forward to eating a proper meal after struggling with the rationing!

His team running his social media accounts thanked all his fans for their support before handing back Ian’s technology.
