Paul Burrell discusses Prince Harry at King Charles’ coronation

Prince Harry attended his father King Charles III’s Coronation at Westminster Abbey on Saturday along with most of the Royal Family.

His wife Meghan Markle stayed at home in California with their two young children, but Harry jetted back to the US hours after his father’s crowning to attend his son, Prince Archie Harrison’s, fourth birthday party.

On Sunday, just hours ahead of the King’s Coronation Concert GB News guest Christine Hamilton erupted at the Duke of Sussex’s decision to wear a suit created by a non-British designer.

Christine kicked off over the fact Harry donned a three-piece suit created by the French fashion house Dior.

The brand’s artistic director Kim Jones designed the suit specially for Harry’s appearance at Westminster Abbey.

His late mother Princess Diana was also a lover of Dior and famously wore a navy slip dress by the luxury brand at the 1996 Met Gala in New York.

Reflecting on the outfits at the Coronation, Christine fumed: “He was wearing a Dior suit! Why can’t he have a suit designed by one of our great British tailors in Savile Row?”

When one of the hosts called her pedantic, she raged: “I am not being pedantic, it’s not British.”

“Everything else was British, British, British and he has to go on and wear a Dior suit.”

However, co-host Nana Akua tried to mitigate the debate, adding: “I don’t think he even thought that far ahead to be honest with you.”

Nana added: “I think Meghan did the right thing by not coming, let’s be honest, she would have been vilified and booed.”

Nana said the Duchess of Sussex was “right not to take from the celebration” but claimed Harry had to come for “commercial” and “financial reasons”.

The debate divided GB News viewers, with Margot Parker tweeting: “It’s called product placement by celebs and they are paid for it £££ so wearing British wasn’t commercially attractive to him?”

Gary Martin added: “Pretty sure all those priceless diamonds worn by the main party were from outside Britain. Yes, definitely not British.”

Dan Coleman remarked: “Does anybody who appears on that channel ever like anything? Just seems like a bunch of constant moaning to me.”

Jackie shared: “Being paid to wear it is all it’s about but it looked awful. Why would Dior taint the brand knowing he’s toxic?”

Michael Walker added: “Have you really nothing better to fill your schedule? I suppose not.”
