KELSEY Grammer desperately wants to star in a ‘classy’ British soap like EastEnders or Emmerdale.

The Frasier star revealed he’d love a cameo in the Queen Vic or the Woolpack, perhaps propping up the bar with a pint as he mixed with the locals.

Famed for his portrayal as psychiatrist Dr Frasier Crane in hit comedies Cheers and Frasier, the 64-year-old is currently in the UK treading the boards in London’s West End in Man Of La Mancha.

The dad-of-seven is starring alongside Only Fools And Horses favourite Nicholas Lyndhurst, 58, in the play.

Kelsey, who won many awards for playing Frasier from 1983 to 2004, revealed his desire to appear in one of Britain’s famous soaps.

Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: “I love them all, of course I do.
