Pictures from the set show a mannequin in place of the fan favourite, lying on a stretcher.

Paramedics wheeled her out of an undisclosed building with an oxygen mask over her face.

This suggests that Millie Bobby Brown's alter-ego was involved in a dangerous situation which may have occurred in another scene of filming.

Will this spell the end of Eleven?

Last week Stranger Things has announced a whole host of new faces that will be joining the iconic cast favourites in the upcoming fourth season.

Including some already-familiar faces, the cast line-up includes a cheerleader, basketball star, guidance counsellor and "band nerd".

All set to arrive in Hawkins in season four, fans were thrilled by the announcement that read: "New cast members incoming. Roll call."

Amybeth McNulty, who starred in series Anne with an E, will play newbie Vickie, who is described as a "cool, fast talking band nerd who catches the eye of one of our beloved heroes".
