The Eurovision Song Contest 2019 final is finally here and 26 acts will be competing tonight to be crowned the winner. The Eurovision Song Contest takes place over three and a half hours, finishing at 11:30pm in the UK. Read on to find out all the details ahead of the final tonight (Saturday, May 18).

How many songs are there in Eurovision 2019?

There are 26 songs overall in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 final.

This is because there are 26 countries taking part in the final.

The countries competing will perform the songs they sang in the semi-final rounds.

For the first time, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Spain and France will perform in Eurovision 2019.

They did not have to perform in the semi-finals as they are part of The Big Five.

The Big Five are automatically guaranteed a place in the final as they are the five biggest financial contributors to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

As the host country and last year’s winner, Israel will also perform for the first time in Eurovision 2019 tomorrow.

HOW LONG HAS GRAHAM NORTON BEEN DOING EUROVISION? 

There will be an additional two songs from guest performer Madonna.

Madonna will perform two songs, one from her new album featuring US rapper Quavo and her 1989 hit Like A Prayer.

Madonna was confirmed to be performing prior to Thursday’s second semi-final.

Jon Ola Sand, Eurovision executive supervisor confirmed the news.

He said in a statement: “We are pleased to finally confirm that the incomparable music icon Madonna will join us at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. We know that it will be an evening to remember and can’t wait to share it with everyone watching.“

What is the Eurovision 2019 running order?

The Eurovision final kicks off at 10pm in Tel Aviv, Israel.

This means the competition will air at different times across the globe, depending on what time zone you are in.

Viewers in the UK will be able to watch the Eurovision final from 8pm on BBC One and the BBC iPlayer.

The Eurovision Final will also be streamed live on YouTube.

The producer of the Eurovision Song Contest decides the running order of the grand final.

This man, Israeli broadcaster KAN has had the final say on the order of acts.

WHICH COUNTRIES ARE THROUGH TO THE EUROVISION FINAL?

At the moment, The Netherlands is the favourite to win at odds of 4/6 at Bet365, Skybet and Ladbrokes.*

Duncan Laurence is representing The Netherlands with his song Arcade.

Australia is the second favourite to win at odds of 5/1 at Betvictor, Coral and Betway.

Kate Miller-Heidke was one of the favourites to make it through to the final after Tuesday’s (May, 14) first semi-final with her song Zero Gravity.

The third favourites are Sweden at odds of 10/1 at William Hill, Bet365 and Boylesports.

Sweden’s John Lundvik made it through in Thursday’s semi-final with his track Too Late For Love.

Eurovision starts tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
