Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has big plans for her birthday later this month… but it sounds like some of her co-stars could miss out on an invite for the ‘exclusive’ celebrations.

It’s been over a week since Ekin-Su, 27, and her boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti, 27, were crowned the winners in the final of the ITV2 competition, securing a landslide victory before finally heading home to bask in the glory of their joint £50,000 prize.

They’ve since been doing the rounds in the media, joining the Loose Women panel earlier this week ahead of their appearance on Channel 4’s Big Breakfast for the show’s highly-anticipated return.

They also paid a visit to Capital Breakfast for a chinwag with Roman Kemp, Sonny Jay and Sian Welby, where Ekin-Su revealed who she thought was going to win Love Island and Davide jokingly pretended he’d preferred Nathalia Campos’ pancakes.

At one point, Sian questioned Ekin-Su on her relationships with the girls in the villa, bringing up the infamous line she said when she first arrived, when she told the other islanders: ‘I’m not here to make seasonal girlfriends. I’m here to meet the love of my life.’

This, of course, proved completely untrue, as the soap actress came away from the programme with both love and friendship.

When asked who she’d deem her Love Island besties, Ekin-Su responded: ‘Tash, Indiyah, Gemma… to be fair, they all are. I love them all, I’ve got no one that I kind of isolate myself from.

‘They’re all lovely girls. Even some of the Casa Amor girls are lovely, you know.’

She then addressed whether she was going to arrange a get-together with the girls in the near future – and luckily, she has just the occasion for a party in less than two weeks’ time.

‘It’s my birthday soon – 21st of August guys – so I will be inviting exclusive people to my birthday,’ Ekin-Su said.

While the TV personality might have been joking about her birthday being such an ‘exclusive’ affair, perhaps this could mean that some Love Island 2022 stars might be omitted from the guestlist?

Davide even jokingly pondered if he’d be invited, to which Ekin-Su replied: ‘Maybe.’

Elsewhere in the interview, Ekin-Su confessed that she originally thought Gemma Owen and Luca Bish would become the Love Island winners for ‘obvious reasons’.

‘I thought because they had it from the start and they were cute together and I wanted them to win and they’re great,’ she said.

However, in the end, the vote for the winners wasn’t even close to the runners-up, with Ekin-Su and Davide earning almost 64% of the vote, in comparison to Gemma and Luca’s 14.5%.

Love Island is available to watch on ITV Hub.
