CALLUM Highway is set to be rocked in EastEnders next week when his ex-fiancee, Whitney Dean, returns from their honeymoon with some shocking news.

Callum – played by Tony Clay in the BBC soap – is helping his brother Stuart Highway get Rainie Cross off drugs when Whitney returns.

Whit – played by Shona McGarty – arrives at the flat to collect the rest of her things. As the pair have a heart-to-heart, Callum is left reeling when Whitney drops a major bombshell on him.

Struggling to process the news, Callum gets drunk in the Vic. Jay Brown steps in to help but his plan backfires and Callum heads over to the Mitchell house where he confronts Ben, blaming him for what’s happened.

What does Whitney tell Callum that upsets him so much?

Whitney and Callum were due to tie the knot earlier this month but their wedding was thrown into chaos when Callum revealed he’d had a fling with Ben Mitchell – Max Bowden.

Despite initially insisting she still wanted to marry Callum, Whitney left him at the alter causing speculation over what had gone on.

Whitney soon revealed the extent of Highway’s feelings however after Ben was shot by Hunter Owen in a siege at the reception party.

Callum tenderly cradled dying Ben’s head in his hands and pleaded with him to stay alive.

Ben pulled through and – last week – fans were in bits when Phil Mitchell openly welcomed Callum into the family.

After Ben woke up from his coma, Callum rushed to the hospital to discuss their secret getting out.

But as he burst into Ben's room the nurse told him that it was only family allowed, which prompted Phil to step in and state Callum was part of their family.

Soap fans took to Twitter to praise the surprisingly sweet move.

One wrote: "When Phil looks at Callum and says to the nurse 'He is family', MY HEART MELTED."

Another commented: "Phil saying to Ben that Callum is family is literally EVERYTHING."

While a third viewer broke down: "When Callum got the Phil Mitchell seal of approval.. I actually almost burst into tears… I'm way too invested in #eastenders".

During the episode, the pair were reunited for the first time as Ben woke up from his coma.

As the pair were left in the hospital room alone, Callum said: "Still alive then? I thought you were gonna die."

Ben replied: "We're tricky to get rid of us Mitchells."

Later on in the scene, Ben hinted at a potential date.

With Callum appearing unsure, Ben insisted they take it slow, saying: "There was this guy I was getting to know, and I was thinking maybe when I'm back on my feet, I'm moving around, why don't we go and get a pint or something?"

"Yeah, I reckon that might be all right," Callum said blushing.
