Chrissy Metz has been showing off a gorgeous new ring, triggering rumors that her boyfriend of almost one year, Hal Rosenfeld has popped the question.
Throughout the past year, the couple has been spotted at various events together, including the 2019 Golden Globes. Reports from insiders close to the actor indicate that Metz may have found “the one.”
Metz rocks ring on her left-hand at pre-Emmy event
The fashion brand for plus-sized women, Eloquii, recently posted a photo of Metz wearing one of their wrap dresses in front of a This Is Us sign. In the picture, we can clearly see a stunning engagement-like rock on her left-hand ring finger.
The couple has not yet confirmed the news of their engagement, but Metz did not come out and announce that they were seeing each other right away, either.
In an October 2018 interview with Access Live, Metz confirmed that she was, “socializing with a singular person,” and that “you need to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince.” Throughout the interview, the This Is Us star seemed to be fairly private with her love life, so it does not seem unreasonable that she would be waiting to announce the big news.
Metz and Rosenfeld attended several events together in the past year
Although Metz may be private about her love life, the couple has been spotted in numerous different places. Metz and Rosenfeld were seen holding hands at a jazz night at the W Hotel in Hollywood in November 2018.
In January 2019, the couple made their official debut at the 2019 Golden Globes. Metz posed with Rosenfeld on the red carpet and then took a few shots by herself. It was clear the two were happy to be there together.
They also have each posted a photo or two on their social media accounts, just enough to tease us. In January, Metz shared an adorable photo to her Instagram story of the two embracing on the beach during sunset. Rosenfeld posted a photo on Thanksgiving last year with a sweet caption.
Insiders report that the couple is ‘obviously in love’
On February 19, 2019, This Is Us costume designer, Hala Bahmet spoke with Hollywood Life at the 21st Annual Costume Guild Awards in Beverly Hills, CA regarding Metz’s relationship. She was excited to share that the couple seems so happy, “He comes to set and he’s just so lovely because he’ll bring her special juice and her special things that she really likes.” She went on to say, “To have someone from her personal life show up unexpectedly and bring her a treat, I think is really, really nice and they’re obviously in love. They’re really wonderful. I’m really happy for them.”
According to Bahmet, Rosenfeld is a very thoughtful guy who goes over the top to remember Metz’s favorite likes and dislikes. He even goes so far as to drop things off for her while she is working. It sure looks like this Hollywood duo is a match made in Heaven.
We will all be patiently awaiting the official announcement of their engagement. The wedding of Metz’s character on This Is Us certainly had us reaching for the tissues, so we cannot wait to see if and when the big day is set for her off-screen, too.
