DEATH in Paradise fans have been left swooning after Our Girl hunk Luke Pasqualino got down and dirty in the latest episode.

The BBC crime drama returned for its 10th series last week, and the second episode featured a new storyline and a mysterious murder on an archaeological dig site.

*Spoilers ahead for episode two of Death in Paradise*

Luke, 30, stars as trainee archaeologist Ed Lancer, complete in a Indiana Jones style ensemble of beige cargo shorts and a safari style open shirt.

His look made many of them think back to his Our Girl character, Elvis Harte, who tragically died in a explosion in series three, leaving them heartbroken.

Taking to Twitter, Luke's fans rejoiced at seeing him back on their screens and getting down and dirty in the soil.

One wrote on Twitter alongside a flame emoji: "Luke in a tent… Here we go again."

Luke's character Ed was questioned by DI Neville Parker (Ralf Little) over the death of his boss, and he insisted he had nothing to do with it.

However, as the episode wore on, it turned out that wasn't actually the case.

Speaking about his guest role on the show, Luke said: "He sees himself as a bit of an Indiana Jones but couldn’t be further from it.

"Ed is more in love with the ideology of archaeology rather than the job itself.

Death in Paradise continues on Thursday, January 21 at 9pm on BBC One.
