What a series, already there’s been so much drama!

So far we’ve had Michael Barrymore breaking his wrist and having to pull out of the show, Caprice Bourret and Hamish Gaman parting ways, and now Joe Swash's pro partner Alexandra Schauman is having to take time out after a freak fall caused her to badly injure her shoulder. What's next?!

After taking the judges critiques to heart last week, Ian H Watkins and his pro partner Matt Evers have been working like mad all week to be more synchronised, and their hard work paid off.

They’re developing such a great friendship and it’s always a laugh working with them as they’re such good fun.

John Barrowman got booed by an audience member when he was commenting on Maura Higgins but he wasn’t remotely fazed by it. He shut them down faster than a comedian shuts down a heckler. Talk about a razor sharp response!

Ben Hanlin had some really nasty falls in training whilst trying to master his lifts, so it took real balls to go out there and try such difficult elements.

His risk and bruises paid off though, and he was so relieved it went well that he was grinning like a Cheshire cat for the rest of the night.

This week Perri Kiely and his partner Vanessa Bauer did a fantastic skate together, bringing the peri peri sauce to the ice.

It was a bit of a shocker that his toughest critique and lowest mark came from Ashley Banjo but Perri still topped the leaderboard.

Caprice was back in the completion skating with her new partner Oscar Peter, and considering she only had six days training, she put in a solid performance.

It wasn’t quite good enough to keep Caprice out of the skate-off though and she ended up skating against Radzi Chinyanganya. Although it was close, it was Caprice who was saved by the judges.

I was really sad to see Radzi go, as I thought he had potential but unfortunately he was always playing catch-up with the other celebrities.

I was so proud of Joe Swash, as it’s been a really massive rollercoaster for him this week, with him tearing up one minute and then laughing the next but he did brilliantly with his new partner Alex Murphy and got his highest score so far.

It was great to see Jayne Torvill and Chris back on the ice. During rehearsals Jayne got really emotional and choked up because she’s so happy that her and Chris Dean still get to do what they love after all these years.

That’s one of the things I love about Jayne and Chris, their passion for ice, dance and showmanship.

I hope we don’t have any more injuries or upsets this week, as not only does it put the whole cast on edge but also we’re running out of pro’s we can substitute in.

I’m going to keep everything crossed… But I suspect there’s more drama brewing!
