CORONATION Street's Yasmeen's trial has been delayed as she receives devastating news that she may need a heart bypass.

During a visit from lawyer Imran, Yasmeen suffered a heart attack and was admitted to hospital.

Granddaughter Alya previously told her she had a heart attack and the trial will be delayed.

In tonight's episode however, Ryan, Alya's boyfriend, told Sally and Jenny in the Rovers that the doctors are currently discussing if she needs a heart bypass.

Alya then asked Ryan if he had heard from Elaine, as she was not answering her phone.

But the reason why she wasn't picking up, is because Geoff took it from her.

Geoff and ex-wife Elaine came face-to-face in tonight's episode and after a furious row broke out between the pair initially, Geoff's ex-wife was nowhere to be found once the credits rolled.

Elaine, who was once abused by the evil hospital DJ, contacted Yasmeen after she heard her story and wanted to help her fight her case against Geoff.

Elaine then got the shock of her life when she ran into Geoff while on her way to visit Tim.

Geoff ordered Elaine, whose real name is Phillipa, to leave as he vowed that she would not "ruin" things for him in Wetherfield.

Elaine stood firm and yelled: "I'm not scared of you!", before Geoff hissed back: "Well you should be", and started to creep his way towards her.

When we next saw Geoff, he was getting into his car and had Elaine's phone in his possession, which he began to take apart.

He removed the battery and sim card, the latter of which he proceeded to throw in the gutter.

Has Geoff really gone and murdered his ex-wife? Or will she make a triumphant return to testify against him in court?
