SEAN Tully will furiously confront Paul Foreman in dramatic Coronation Street scenes tonight, accusing him of being behind his brutal attack last week.

Corrie fans were stunned on Friday when fan favourite Sean – played by Antony Cotton – was given a severe beating by a mystery assailant.

It came after Sean assumed that Paul was responsible for the charity box at the medical centre going missing after spotting him in Victoria Gardens with a dodgy looking mate.

Sean confided in medical centre manager Moira Pollock that he thought Paul was the thief after spotting him hand boyfriend Billy Mayhew some expensive looking headphones.

The police then arrived to question Paul and – when he found out they were called by Moira after a tip off from Sean  – a furious Paul had to be held back by Billy to stop him attacking the barman.

Later fans watched as Sean heard someone call his name and headed into the ginnel where he was punched in the face by a mystery attacker.

Sean will front up to Paul tonight over the beating, but Paul will protest his innocence and tell Sean it was nothing to do with him.

But Paul is left stunned when his mate Marley confides in him that he gave Sean a smack in the face as revenge.

And later, Tim Metcalfe will tell Billy it was Marley who gave Sean the pasting.

Later in the week, Billy will try to make things up to Paul but will be stunned when Paul introduces him to a man called Adrian and explains he’s on a date.

Also, Rita Tanner will have words with a contrite Sean and tell him that he probably owes Paul – who feels his friends don’t trust him – an apology.
