Coronation Street lothario Kevin Webster (played by Michael le Vell) seems to attract drama like nobody’s business. Currently caught up in a blackmail plot with his love interest Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) and her sleazy ex Ray Crosby (Mark Frost), fans would think he has enough on his plate.

It was great working with Sue Devaney who plays Kev’s sister Debbie. I’d love to see her come back to Weatherfield and find out the mess that Kev has got himself into

But he let us in on a little secret when speaking to Digital Spy.

The actor revealed he would love to see Kevin’s little sister Debbie, (played by Sue Devaney), return to the cobbles.

Another of the Webster clan in the same vicinity? There’s sure to be more drama involved!

Fans will remember that Debbie returned not so long ago for a brief cameo in the ITV soap when she dropped a huge bombshell on her brother, after 34 years away from the Street.

Announcing their estranged aunt had died and left her £200,000 in her will, Kevin was left speechless when she gave it to him.

He split the money between his children, which saw Sophie Webster (Brooke Le Vincent) depart the show for maternity leave.

But it seems that isn’t quite enough drama for Michael.

“As an actor, you don’t want your character to get too settled and I love the drama, Kevin seems to attract drama so that is great,” he explained.

“It doesn’t always need to be about romance either. It was great working with Sue Devaney who plays Kev’s sister Debbie. I’d love to see her come back to Weatherfield and find out the mess that Kev has got himself into.

“He could do with someone to keep an eye on him.”

But before he can concentrate on anything else, he has to find a way to dig Abi out of the enormous hole she has dug herself.

Next week is set to be a big week as Corrie villain Ray continues to blackmail Abi and Kevin.

Abi, who was seeing Ray at the time, had humiliated him at a gala she attended after Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) exposed his sex-pest ways.

Abi then went a step further and stole his car before torching it.

While she thought she had gotten away with it, Ray made no haste in going to the police, which resulted in Kevin urging her to create a false alibi.

Alas, dashcam footage of Abi at the wheel of his car puts them in a really tricky situation.

Having embarked on a relationship with Kevin, whom she cares for deeply, she is worried about the fact that she has dragged him into this.

While trying to manipulate the mechanic into sleeping with him, the sleaze-bag also demands that Kevin sell him his garage at a ridiculously low price of £90,000.

Will they give in to his heinous demands?

Meanwhile, elsewhere in Weatherfield, there could be more bad news as the Bailey family are in for a rocky few weeks.

After coming out as gay to his dad Ed (Trevor Michael Georges), James Bailey (Nathan Graham) thought he was making the best decision.

But it soon turned sour as it was revealed that his dad couldn’t come to terms with his son’s sexuality after finding out he was seeing Danny Tomlinson (Dylan Brady).

Threatening Danny to stay away from James after admitting he “didn’t think homosexuality is natural,” could this be the last straw for the Bailey family?
