CORONATION Street legend Shobna Gulati looked unrecognisable with a striking new look at the Everybody's Talking About Jamie premiere.

The 55-year-old actress famously played Sunita Alahan in the ITV soap from 2001 to 2013.

While Sunita's fashion aired on the dowdy side, Shobna has totally transformed since leaving the soap and rocked a head to toe leather ensemble on the pink carpet.

It consisted of a long skirt and biker style jacket top with numerous zips and a statement collar.

She added a pop of colour with neon cuffs and panels and wore her silvery grey hair in a striking quiff style.

Shobna plays Ray in the Amazon Prime Video film, reprising the role from the West End stage show.

She stars in the film alongside fellow former Corrie star Sarah Lancashire, as well as Sharon Horgan, Richard E. Grant and newcomer Max Harwood as the titular Jamie.

Shobna posed up alongside Richard and Max at the premiere, which took place at Royal Festival Hall in London.

Richard's appearance at the premiere comes just days after the sad passing of his wife Joan.

Joan died earlier this month, and Richard revealed he had attended her funeral on Thursday.

He wrote, tagging in their daughter Olivia: "35 years ago we pledged ‘In Sickness and in Health’.

"That Time has come for us today, as @OliviaGranted & I and our friends gather for the funeral of my beloved wife, Joan. The depth of our sorrow mirrored by the magnitude of our love."

He followed the post, which included two pictures of Joan, with seven love hearts and three broken heart emojis.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie premieres on Amazon Prime Video on September 17.
