EVICTED Big Brother star Trish is under fire after historic "racist and homophobic" tweets were discovered by fans.

The 33-year-old is yet to comment on the backlash, but has deleted her X account, formerly known as Twitter.

The shocking messages were posted in 2012 and include references to Asian people and lesbians, as well as vile Hitler tweets, which The Sun does not wish to repeat.

There have been calls for Trish to be "cancelled" – having been hailed as a "national icon" following her appearance on Big Brother.

Trish was open-mouthed when she was booted out the House on Friday night – moments after crowds chanted "Trish for the win".

Fans have since turned on the former housemate after discovering the offensive tweets.

One fan wrote: "I am so saddened to read all these tweets from Trish over the past few years.

"I was sad she was evicted yesterday but honestly I’m glad she didn’t win in hindsight."

Another fan wrote: "In just a day Trish went from being the nation's sweetheart and being chanted to win to then getting evicted 30 seconds later, became a twitter icon, then got cancelled so hard she had to deactivate."

"Saddened to see the horrific past tweets that have emerged from Trish’s social media," said another.

"According to ITV, housemates social media accounts were going to be checked by an 'independent specialised service' so how the hell weren’t these found?!"

Someone else said: "I did not want to react to the posts I saw yesterday regarding Trish because I wanted to see her response. It is sad that she has chosen to delete her account.

"She should've shown the accountability that she showed in the house. I am deeply disappointed in her."

The Sun has reached out to Big Brother for comment.
