Former Labour strategist Alastair Campbell has been announced as Piers Morgan’s latest replacement on Good Morning Britain.
On March 9 it was announced the 56-year-old would step down after an Ofcom investigation was launched into several comments he made about “not believing” Meghan Markle in her Oprah Winfrey interview.
Susanna Reid’s new co-host will take his seat from Monday May 10, until May 12 as a guest presenter, the Mirror revealed.
Campbell, 63, previously worked as former Prime Minister Tony Blair’s right hand man.
As well as working for the Labour Party for a long period, Campbell is also an award-winning author.

His impressive wealth will no doubt increase after his GMB stint replacing Piers, who was reportedly paid a whopping £1million yearly on the show.
Campbell graduated from Cambridge University where he studied modern languages, before going into journalism.
When Mr Blair became leader of the Labour Party, he worked as his press secretary.

Ahead of his appearance, Alastair told the publication he was "flattered" to be asked to front the show, admitting he once had ambitions of becoming a TV presenter before the world of politics came calling.
He said: “I am also looking forward to getting stuck into the big political and social issues at such an important and difficult time for the country, as well as brushing up my knowledge on some of the subjects that will take me out of my comfort zone."

Campbell continued: “In addition, there is an element of finishing unfinished business here… back in the mid 90s I was a regular presenter of the paper reviews on BBC Breakfast and during the week the former Labour Leader John Smith died, I was in discussions with the programme about becoming a presenter.
